Kim serves as the bookkeeper and administrative assistant at the Lubbock Apartment Association. If you call LAA's office, you'll most likely hear a friendly "hello," from Kim, because her roll involves answering phone calls and managing payables and receivables. However, her job is very flexible, and she also handles various other tasks around the office as well. Prior to her time at LBKapts.com, Kim worked on-site at an apartment community for nine years, where she started out as a Leasing Agent and was promoted to Assistant Property Manager. Her favorite part about working for the Lubbock Apartment Association is the people. She loves her job because she gets to enjoy every day with those around her. She also feels that the nonprofit challenges her to always be learning new things.
Originally from Slaton, TX a small town about 20 miles from Lubbock she is very familiar with the West Texas area. She loves the quiet small-town lifestyle that comes along with living in this peaceful place. Kim is thankful for all the great people in the area and how close everyone is. She says that there are many neat people in a small town. Although she lives in a house now, Kim's must have apartment features are a washer and dryer in unit to make laundry super easy. She also prioritizes large spacious floor plans to have extra room in her home. Her favorite apartment that she ever lived in she loved so much because of the close location to downtown Lubbock. Kim sees location as one of the most important aspects of an apartment.
When she's not working, Kim loves to shop either online or at the mall in Lubbock. She considers herself a shopaholic with her favorite store being Dillard's. She is also a huge Red Raider football fan and spends her weekends watching the games cheering on Texas Tech! You can find Kim listening to a wide variety of music including Christian, country, and Elvis (her favorite artist!). You may be surprised to know that Kim is actually very outgoing, and she loves to talk and meet new people. Kim is very passionate about her family and friends. She lives with her husband and two chocolate labs, Kevan and Kabela. Her daughter Kaylee is pursuing another master's program in health care. Family is very important to her and she is very close with all of them!
